Featured Outdoor Diversity Organization: Climate Justice Alliance

During the month of August, we are highlighting the work of Climate Justice Alliance in our community effort to showcase organizations who are working towards social justice, environmental action, and more inclusive public lands.

About Climate Justice Alliance

Climate Justice Alliance (CJA) formed in 2013 to create a new center of gravity in the climate movement by uniting frontline communities and organizations into a formidable force utilizing Just Transition as a path forward.

Climate change march

Just Transition is a vision-led, unifying and place-based set of principles, processes and practices that build economic and political power to shift from an extractive economy to a regenerative one.

This means approaching production and consumption cycles holistically and waste free. The transition itself must be just and equitable; redressing past harms and creating new relationships of power for the future through reparations.

With your support, the 70+ community-based and movement support organizational members of CJA can continue to unite frontline communities to forge social and economic Just Transition solutions to the climate change crisis from the grassroots up.
