Seafood lasagna recipe inspired by: Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska (alternatively: Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska or Olympic National Park, Washington).
Protecting millions of acres of rain forests, mountains, glaciers, wild rivers, estuaries, coasts, deep fjords and open ocean in southeastern Alaska, Glacier Bay National Park is a wildlife haven.
The park has almost 1,200 miles of coastline, more than 1,000 freshwater fish habitat systems and 950 square miles of ocean. These diverse aquatic habitats are home to over 200 fish species and numerous species of crabs, mussels, shrimp and other marine creatures.
All five species of salmon—sockeye, coho, pink, chinook and chum—live in Glacier Bay National Park, along with rainbow and cutthroat trout, Dolly Varden char, Pacific cod and Pacific halibut, which can weigh up to 500 pounds.
Another marine animals of interest to fishermen and -women, as well as to foodies, is the Dungeness crab, which thrives in the nutrient-rich water of Glacier Bay.
Sport fishing is allowed in Glacier Bay, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is one of the park’s greatest experiences. However, you don’t need to go out and catch your own fish in this remote park to enjoy a Glacier Bay-inspired seafood lasagna!
Below, you’ll find my Glacier Bay seafood lasagna recipe, a hearty and creamy dinner chock-full of savory seafood inspired by Alaska’s Glacier Bay National Park.

Notes
Note: I used sockeye salmon, Pacific cod and Dungeness crab for this Glacier Bay seafood lasagna recipe. However, you can use any type of fish or seafood native to Glacier Bay. Feel free to use halibut, shrimp and/or scallops too/instead. Even mussels or clams would work. Just make sure everything is cooked through before adding it to your lasagna layers.
