Solo Hiker Survives Grizzly Bear Attack in Denali National Park

In the evening of August 23, 2021, a grizzly sow with two cubs attacked a solo hiker in Denali National Park’s Thoroughfare Pass area. He managed to deploy bear spray, but still suffered significant injuries. He did survive the attack, was able to hike out by himself, and is now in stable condition.
