Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Krejci Dump Cleanup is Complete, Site Fully Restored

After a multi-year cleanup process, the National Park Service and Ford have succeeded in cleaning up the former Krejci Dump site. The NPS announced that the project is complete and the site fully restored. It’s now in a stable natural state, ensuring its long-term success as a natural wetland and wildlife habitat.

NEWS: West Virginia’s New River Gorge Gets National Park Designation

Decades of efforts to create a national park in West Virginia have finally come to fruition. America’s newest national park, New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, will encompass more than 72,000 acres of densely forested hills and historic sites along the New River. Some 5,000 to 7,000 acres of that would be designated as “national park”, while the rest will be a “national preserve.”
